Big Product News:
– Nintendo 3DS with 3D screen and touchpad only on bottom half. There’s two cameras to allow for taking 3D images. It will also be able to play Hollywood 3D movies like How To Train Your Dragon
Games release:
-The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword debuts using the Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus available in 2011
– Mario Sports Mix also coming out in 2011
– Games with no release date: Epic Mickey (exclusive Disney game), Kid Icarus Uprising
– Games coming out this holiday season: Just Dance 2, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, Donkey Kong Country Returns
– Games for fall: Kirby’s Epic Yarn
– Games for summer: Metroid: Other M, Dragon Quest IX for Nintendo DS
Sony E3 Presentation at the Shrine Auditorium
This was all about 3D – games released and coming out as well as a demonstration of the new Move controllers and of course, Kevin Butler.
Games:
- Killzone 3 in 3-D, Gran Turismo, Sly and MotorStorm
- Shaun White, Tron, NBA 2K11 will support 3D
Other News:
- PlayStation Plus: subscription package with exclusive features. Early demos, beta invites, full games, themes, minis and a discount on games in PlayStation store. Costs $50 bucks annually. $18 for three months. Available later this month.
- Life-size Sweet Tooth car shuttles David Jaffe, creator of Twisted Metal, to stage. Twisted Metal will be exclusive to Playstation 3 with deathmatch capabilities.
